Favorite Things Friday: Trilogies

I love reading trilogies.  Best I can figure it’s because you don’t have to think about what to read next and you have time to get invested in the characters.  Here are a few of my favorites in order of preference.

No Angel trilogy by Penny Vincenzi

Tori, Miss Lady’s godmother, who is in my book club recommended this series.  It’s set around the time of World War II, between the U.K. and the U.S.  It’s about the rise and sometimes falls of a family publishing house.

Josephine B. Trilogy by Sandra Gulland

Kelly, Miss Lady’s other godmother, and former member of my book club told me about Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop book recommendations and I saw this one there.  Took about 50 pages to get into but it follows the rise and fall of Napoleon through Josephine, his wife’s eyes.

Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

The Hunger Games–not much needs to be said here.  So many people have read & seen the movie.

Although it’s not a trilogy, I devoured these books when I was pregnant with Miss Lady.

Twilight by Stephanie Meyer

The first book in the saga was my favorite.

Please recommend other trilogies or sagas.  Right now I’m reading the Paris Wife, but it’s not commanding my attention.  Would love to hear my readers recommendations.

Hope you have a nice President’s Day weekend.  I’ll be back on Tuesday with something interesting, I hope.

xoxo, Ashley

    Hi Ashley –
We have something in common-trilogies. I read Penny Vincenzi’s trilogy several years ago; The Hunger Games and The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo last year. This is my first time to look at your site. Very good job! My love to your family.
    Debbie
